Can all parts on the Aarke Coffee Maker be cleaned in the dishwasher?

Yes. The filter basket, filter basket lid, the glass carafe and the glass carafe lid can be cleaned in the dishwasher. We recommend using a dishwasher setting with a maximum temperature of 140 °F (60 °C).

How much can I brew at once with the Aarke Coffee Maker?

The Aarke coffee maker can brew up to 10 cups of coffee, with each cup measuring 8.5 fl oz (125 ml). The water tank has a capacity of 42 fl oz (1.25 L / 1250 ml). For optimal results, it's recommended to brew at least 2 cups (17 fl oz / 250 ml) at a time. The Aarke Coffee Maker brews a full pot in under 6 minutes.

Can I use whole beans in the Aarke Coffee Maker?

The Aarke Coffee Maker is made for brewing with ground coffee, so whole beans can't be used directly. To get the best flavor, we recommend freshly grounded beans. The grinder automatically calculates the amount of beans to grind based on the water level in the tank, and the coffee maker adjusts for the perfect coffee temperature. How often should I descale my Aarke Coffee Maker?

We recommend descaling your coffee maker every 2 months, or more often, depending on how often you use it and the hardness of your water. If you live in an area with hard water or use your coffee maker frequently, descaling may be needed more often to maintain optimal performance. Descaling regularly helps ensure the longevity and efficiency of your coffee maker. If your water has a lot of limescale, use the coffee maker with our water filter pitchers and forget about regular limescale cleanups.

How do I know if descaling is necessary?

If the brewing cycle takes significantly longer or if the Coffee Maker spits, these are signs that descaling is necessary. If the coffee tastes bitter or unpleasant, we also recommend descaling the Coffee Maker. We have also built-in a descaling reminder on our product. Every 60th time you start the coffee maker the red light, on the front of the machine, will blink to remind you that descaling is needed. Descaling is important to keep the product performing well and lasting a long time. If it’s not a good time for you to start the descaling program, you can press the button again. The coffee maker will brew as usual and remind you again after another 60 brewing cycles. If your water has a lot of limescale, use the coffee maker with our water filter pitchers and forget about regular limescale cleanups.

Smart Hot Plate

Engineered to avoid burnt notes, the hot plate adjusts the power depending on the water volume and gradually tapers down over 40 minutes. To save energy, it shuts off when the glass carafe is removed.

Descaling Program

After every 60 brewing cycles, the LED indicator will blink to remind you to run the descaling program. To do this, simply fill the water tank with a descaling solution, press and hold the button for 7 seconds.

Optimized Brewing

The water level sensor automatically adjusts the flow rate and maintains an optimal water temperature between 197°- 205°F, based on the number of cups being brewed. This creates the perfect brewing conditions, guaranteeing fully extracted flavor, every time.

Optional Blooming Mode

Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to start the program. When enabled, the coffee grinds are pre-soaked at the start of the brewing cycle to bring out their full flavor. This replication of barista pour-over technique allows the forming air bubbles to escape, allowing for more extraction and less sourness, where you wish to experiment with the roast.

Cool machine. After a month of use, my wife and I love it. I was concerned 10 cups might be too few, but it's turned out fine. I like the metal housing, crinkle finish paint in beige and the quality switch hardware. It feels good to touch. Brewing has been wonderful and the taste delivers. The glass carafe is on the delicate side, so be careful handling around hard objects. I'll probably order a backup in case one breaks. Otherwise, the design is fantastic and we're very happy with the purchase.

Good coffee maker, but too expensive

I love the way this machine makes coffee as well as how it looks. The reason I gave it four stars is that it does not keep the coffee hot for long enough,

So happy with this coffee maker! It's simple to use and makes very hot coffee which my old one did not. I love the glass water tank and the copper water lines as well as the BPA free, food safe plastic parts. I do wish the brew basket was stainless steel, but this coffee maker is a much safer choice than most (in regard to microplastics). I also love the bloom feature that really lets the flavors develop. I purchased the stainless carafe with it and I use it on the weekends when I have more time to enjoy my coffee. It is very sturdy and keeps the coffee hot enough to drink for about 2 hours. And the smart hot plate is ingenious! It knows the difference between the glass carafe and the stainless one and turns off after it finishes brewing into the insulated stainless one. And it looks beautiful in my kitchen! I definitely recommend this coffee maker as an upgraded daily driver for any hard core coffee lover! (I did not purchase the grinder as I already had one.)

I love this coffee maker now I'm having a problem with it it keeps popping a fuse and my circuit braker and the machine makes loud popping noise after I turn it on anyone having this problem and why it's only 4 months old

Hi, pretty much love this coffee maker. My only suggestion would be to make the glass carafe a little heftier. I am nervous about bumping it and breaking it. Thicker glass would be better.

I was disappointed it didn’t come with a permanent filter basket, for this price point. Secondly I would recommend the stainless insulated carafe as the coffee gets cold very quickly.

I love my coffee machine

I love my coffee machine and grinder; they are part of my morning ritual. The aroma of freshly roasted coffee drifting up the stairs puts everyone in a good mood. If you are looking to purchase a percolator, this one works well and looks the part in my kitchen. The only issue is the connection between the grinder and the coffee machine, which I just cannot get to stay in place, so I have given up on that feature and simply grind enough coffee for 8 cups at a time.
